I developed this website about 5 years ago out of frustration and a plea for help in dealing with the conditions my wife suffers from. She has lupus, she's had a coccygectomy due to the birth of our first son (she was bed-ridden for 3 years), she has atrial fibrillation, she has chronic pain that consumes her body 24 hours per day, she has chronic headaches, she's had severe kidney stones, her skin always feels like it's on fire... the list goes on. This site was initially developed out of a need of support and education as to the issues we had and are dealing with. Since then, I've noticed the lack of support when dealing with chronic health issues and decided to focus on women with these issues. People can wrap their brain around a broken arm or a cold because it will eventually go away, but dealing with chronic health issues are an entirely different ball-game. I felt there needed to be some sort of forum and support for those people and the people that deal with it on a daily basis. Please feel free to use this site and tell others about it. I hope you find it useful and I welcome any suggestions you may have to improve. God Bless, Jim |
